Croatia fans will have to look twice as “B” team Croatia will face an HNL all-star squad in Rijeka on Wednesday. The HNS have once again let down most Croatian fans by failing to secure a friendly for Croatia, now ranked #10 in the world, and will instead have to use one of the only two FIFA friendly dates before their showdown against Serbia in March against players from the HNL.
Can you imagine Real Madrid letting Luka Modrić participate in such an event? Is there anything Igor Štimac will get from such a match? Will any of the players even put up much of an effort? Even if a player shines from the HNL all star squad it wouldn’t matter because the “B” squad won’t show up. Instead of “Tuesday Night Funnies, we should call this week’s edition: Tuesday Night Tragedies.
