Perišić (4) with Rakitić (7) at Euro 2016

There are rumblings around Europe that a possible Crottenham 2.0 is in the works for Manchester United. In 2010, Luka Modrić, Niko Kranjčar and Vedran Ćorluka joined forces in North London to make the aforementioned trio of Crottenham Hotspur.

Now Sportske Novosti is reporting that along with the much anticipated Ivan Perišić move from Inter Milan to Manchester United in the next few weeks, teammate Marcelo Brozović would also move to Manchester in a package deal. On top of that, Barcelona’s Ivan Rakitić is rumored to be on the way out to make room for PSG’s Marco Verratti. Rakitić recently signed with Barcelona until 2020 but that doesn’t mean they can’t move him now.

It’s obvious to the footballing world that Manchester United are still a few signings short of being a force in Champions League this season. The Red Devils finished 6th in England last campaign and qualified for CL through their Europa League title win. At 28 years of age, Perišić would be a a phenomenal pick up for Mourinho on the left wing. Rakitić is 29 and entering the twilight of his career and was quieter than usual last year at the Nou Camp. However, with his veteran leadership and striking ability, any team in Europe would be lucky to have him this year. Brozović is only 24 years old and is just getting his career going.

How many Croatians will Mourinho pick up this summer?

    MAN UnitiC

    Crochester United

    All good.

Perišić is going to become a SUPER star as the #7 winger at Old Trafford.

    @ Ante

Haven’t heard Rakitic rumors but he would do well at Man U as well. Brozovic isto !

The beauty of being a nogometaš supporter is when a club signs one of ours you can immediately support that club.

I only root for Croatians over any club.

I have enjoyed our Real Modrić run.

But Cro U is next level in the US.

EPL and Champions League with Crochester United ?

    Spinning our way boys …

Perisic and Rakitic would start, Six weeks later,Rakitic would then begin coming off the bench – no stamina, too slow for the EPL. Brozovic would be a little used sub.

Perisic would put in useful crosses and be considered a good player.

The one person who the EPL is built for with it’s constant up and down the field pace is Mateo Kovacic. Not saying it would turn him into a better national team performer, but, the kid would be a star in England.
