Croatia is coming back to the States.
Croatia will play Peru in Miami on March 23rd in a World Cup tune-up match and play Mexico in another friendly in Dallas that same week; on March 27th at Cowboys Stadium (although date and venue not 100% confirmed). It would be part of a 4-team mini tournament also comprised of Peru and Iceland; as the two play in New York on March 27th. Croatia would not play Iceland.
Croatia is once again headed stateside but will the big boys make the trip? Earlier this year, Croatia played Mexico in Los Angeles but not one current starter made the trip. With the World Cup only three months away (as of March) and two potential friendlies lined up on American soil, will the likes of Modrić, Mandžukić, Perišić be with the team? The FIFA schedule only has March open for friendlies before the World Cup but the HNS will schedule friendlies in late May/early June like in past years.
Croatia vs Peru : 129 and 130 are croatian fans sections
Anybody know where the Croatian section will be? Trying to buy tickets to the game but want to sit with the crowd.
Smart move by HNS. Their finally figuring out that outside of the nationalism we have as Croatian-Canadian, American or whatever- the Croatian team is also a brand -lots of non Croatian bloodlines follow our guys for their talent – build the brand and build the bank account for HNS. I don’t see anything wrong with either. No better place than the US. Canada could use a game [personally speaking]but good for HNS.
Miami in March – nice weather, Cuban food, the boys can relax before we get nasty for Russian campaign.
my life is sad 🙁
i will be boycotting the friendlies
I wonder how sad of a life someone has to have to come on a forum like this just to troll.
If the Dallas match happens I’ll definitely head down for that. I coincidentally have vacation time then and family in Dallas.
Cleveland’s Ziva Istina has transitioned!
I’m thinking of making the trip for either game or maybe both. Anyone from Cleveland going? would be cool to get some people from this site together and have some drinks. No idea if there will be an official place for Croatian fans to gather in either city but that would be cool.
@ dalic lama
That was obviously not the real truth. A lot of people have been impersonating me lately.
It’s not my style to speak in that kind of derogatory way. And I’ve frequently been pro gay on this site championing the idea that lovren should be given the arm band and how it would create a great image of Croatia abroad
Dallas is a short drive for me from New Orleans.
Will there be an official headquarter hotel for HNS and supporters? Will Croatian Sports have an official home base?
I’ve been to college football bowl games in these big cities, and there is always a coordinated effort to have the fans in hotels near the teams. I hope that is the case for this game.
Dalic Lama, thanks. I ended up buying the best 3 seats in the house – first row midfield section C136 seats 1,2,3 for myself, wife and the daughter. This is probably the one and only time Croatia will play in Dallas so I figured to splurge. I figured worst case scenario someone will buy the seats if Mexico ends up paying someone else since there about a million+ people here of Mexican descent.
truth//it’s funny, I was just about to write the same shit about you. You make the real truth seem like a ladies man, and we all know that ain’t the case.
Dallas Igor// totally safe, worst case scenario, you sell your tix to a rich drug dealing illegal immigrant.
HNS will be making some nice cash m0ney from these USA friendlies babyyyy
I live in Dallas and would like to buy tickets. Is Mexico game confirmed and is it safe to buy tickets? Stubhub says Mexico vs TBD.
@Goku
HNS will schedule friendlies with World Cup qualified teams like Peru and Mexico…but they’re too cheap (?) to schedule one with a non-qualified African team?
I’m not a fan of Suker, but easy there with this anti-HNS narrative.
anyone else think rakitic is a pussy ass phag??or just me
Ghana or Ivory coast??? HNS wont pay for that…most likely a powerhouse friendly vs Madagascar
The African friendly they are trying to line up in Russia right before our first match is much more crucial.
Hopefully they schedule one with Ghana or Ivory Coast.
This mini tournament is a preload to the big show in June.
The big boys must show up especially if we’re playing South American teams.
Only 2 games. No Iceland.
So if it’s a mini tourney could we potentially play Iceland or is it only the 2 games?
@Soul Champ-Ironic indeed. Mr. Soul Champ turned 38, he saw Croatia’s D team play the next day.
I hope Halilovic goes this time. Majer, Halilovic, and Tudor alone can beat those Peru.
Maybe under utilized Vlasic goes too. Although I suspect as Everton’s season slips away, Vlasic will get more playing time.
Brekalo needs some south beach tang, to help his confidence. (u know, the stuff the Astronauts drank.)
Ironic how I get to see the Vatreni on the east coast and feel great that Luka Modrić will not be there !
Hope to see every young player hungry for a spot in the squad we take to the World Cup.
Some of those kids will turn out to be super stars.
The C team in Miami would probably be more entertaining then the A in a friendly.
Mexico in LA was no fluke.
These kids are the goods and the repka should showcase there talents.
