Perišić To United: Part 2

February 7, 2018

As reported by ESPN two days ago, Manchester United are still looking to bring Ivan Perišić to Old Trafford this summer. The Inter Milan winger nearly made the move this past offseason but the Italians wanted a fee for him which was a bit too steep for Jose Mourinho and company.

Now the deciding factor will be Inter Milan finishing fourth or higher and qualifying for Champions League this year. If they do, they will likely keep their core group of players. If not: possible fire sale time.

Two months ago, Inter Milan were on fire and sitting first place in the Italian Serie A standings. Since, they have not won a single match and have drawn fives games in a row. Perišić is ice cold after a promising start to the season as Inter Milan currently hold a one point advantage on Roma for fourth place.

Does Perišić need a change of scenery already? At 29 years old, he will need to make one final decision heading into the twilight of his career.

His style of play would fit well in the Premier League. Its a shame what Italian football has turned into. If you watch these games, stadiums are half empty. Not too long ago, it was almost impossible to get your hands on a Serie A ticket without dishing out large amounts of money. Nowadays, they cant give them away for free.

This is boring. The transfer window just closed where was this before the window. They just got Sanchez and Perisic resigned a long deal it’ll take a massive fee, the fee was the issue before the new contract.

Yesterday Lovre Kalinic was chosen to best goalie in Belgium. He came to AA Gent January 2017 and was often impressive in Belgium.

LAknat prophecy is the no 1 reason you guys got here.
when the name of LAknat has appeared in the comment section, seems all of you have got a spoiler.

According to the article, Perisic would like to go to Man U and banish his bad day in Italy. A player like Perisic that you guys give a high credit to him…. maybe could fit in EPL, a league that attracts a lot of attention. EPL clubs, only using their physicality to win and lack for their skill, so Perisic as I know he only just relying on running and not skillful as I thought, will meet for EPL standard playing.

For me, if a player has a good pace in Italy, He will gain a trustworthy to play for our national team. because the way our national team play is more likely similar to Serie A that emphasis on skill and technique.

    Great news on kalinic
Coupled with that good part of last season
Wonder if he moves to epl or something this summer?
Least we know we have a somewhat capable back up
If memory serves me right the limited time he has seen for repka was always solid

    espnfc rating for rakitic today:

MF Ivan Rakitic, 8 — Another brilliant display from Rakitic, who is excelling under Valverde. Knew when to attack and when to sit back and crowned his performance with a well-taken goal.

  8. Maminjo says:

Good for Kreilach. He was a good player.

Hopefully he enjoys his time in Salt Lake and doesn’t convert to Mormon like Krešimir Ćosić did.

  9. BZ says:

@gbvh-too many Rakitic haters on this site. I have alligator skin from all the times I had to defend the guy.
