Enzo Vieira (8), the son of Real Madrid and Brazil defender Marcelo, represents Real Madrid at youth level but on this occasion he was in the first-team dressing room and took the opportunity to play a game of ‘keep up’ with the squad.
Vieira certainly didn’t disappoint as he exchanged passes with a host of big name players, including Luka Modrić, Marco Asensio and Marcelo himself.
Real Madrid face Liverpool in the Champions League Final on May 26th. But it’s great to see the club having some fun with the kid of one of their stars.
For you parents on the website, have you had any sports superstars interact with your kids? And what did they do?
Payet’s injury could be a blessing for us.
Assuming we finish second in our group, we likely play France in the Round of 16.
France is in a group with Denmark, Peru and Australia. I’d take any of those teams over France. Even with injuries, France will top that group, but it would be nice to eliminate them (assuming we don’t choke against Nigeria or Iceland).
@Ante K said,
“Best thing to do do with trolls is not acknowledge them.”
@The truth said,
“Wow some of you guys are dumb
Hannah is not a real person
It’s some poster just trolling you guys and you swallow hook and sinker.”
@everyone
So according to @The truth, dumb people acknowledge trolls!
If you guys took @Ante K’s advice then @The truth wouldn’t have had reason to call you dumb.
Look, I think what @Ante Kvartuc is trying to do here is to make men out of you guys, and that is admirable.
When trolls write comments, there is no need for you effeminate men to get all emotional and start asking for safe spaces where you wont have anything to “worry about.” Lol.
Don’t acknowledge trolls is code for “keep writing your sport comments on my website,” then, and only then will you not be acknowledging the trolls, the hope is that the trolls will then go away.
This could work!
@The truth
Do you think because people respond to @Hannah that means they think he or she isn’t a troll? Or, maybe you believe a robot wrote the comment?
People call you a troll, why is that you think?
You are dumb, stick to nicknames you idiot.
Wow some of you guys are dumb
Hannah is not a real person
It’s some poster just trolling you guys and you swallow hook and sinker
What do you guys think of this “Vartreni” documentary?
I’m hoping this current crop don’t get jealous that the spotlight will be getting taken off them, while us fans get to relive those glorious moments in ’98.
They should just enjoy it and remember the time fondly, that when they were just fans like us was the only time the NT did anything.
Look, who knows, maybe they might be inspired and actually get out of the group stage.
Yeah i – even after the first post from Hannah i knew it was trolling, it’s not legit so dont worry about that
@Hannah
Its called free speech.
Typical liberals – complain, ridicule or resort to death threats when they don’t get their way. It’s how they use social media!
An anti Trumper for sure, Black lives matter, anti gun anti NRA demonstrator paid by Sorus/Clooney commies!
@ Hannah
This is a blogger website for the Croatian diaspora to talk Croatian sports (mainly soccer). No one is working on this site for a living, so it’s probably not the best source for Croatian soccer.
That said, Kvartuc definitely knows the team will and can give you some insight based on his opinion. He is a stand up guy, so don’t let the internet comments fool you.
I think most of us disagree with Holiga who is a very biased reporter. The truth is that we are a small country and very few English website correctly describe our team. Some errors but this is an okay review;
http://www.espn.com/soccer/fifa-world-cup/4/blog/post/3470066/world-cup-2018-previews-croatia-quartet-of-star-midfielders-provides-hope-32-teams-in-32-days
With what happened to Payet this morning I don’t give a rats who wins the CL, just as long as our boys get through injury-free.
Šime sporting the flag post-win.
@Hannah. Weak just plain weak. Read Vlad’s post again.
@ Hannah grow up and get a life this is a third tier site where any loser can write something. People write terrible things everyday on social media everyday. As for the I hope this does not represent Croatia, seriously who the hell you think you are. I can go on country blogs in America and Canada Sweden Spain Switzerland and find people write terrible things
Truth Troll is not a grown man. At least not mentally
The childish behavior by some of the people who comment on this website is appalling and hilarious at the same time. I really don’t comment often on here but I do read a lot of the comments on most posts. I am probably one of the younger visitors of this website and a lot of what I see is grown men acting like children. This is a website meant for having genuine conversation about Croatian sports and usually at least half of the comments are about race or politics. I do enjoy reading the comments that are actually thoughtful and try to spark discussion. I just really wish the childish people would find somewhere else to go.
Lol @ obvious troll post from Hannah
Fuck you and your imaginary shitskin husband
Not that I condone it but you’d have to be clueless to think this type of shit doesn’t go in this day and age of keyboard warriors and unmoderated comments sections. Just look at the racist asshole running the “free world.” He’s enabled all kinds of assholes like the ones you’ll find on this site.
Shocking and disgusting. After reading no less than two “soccer ” related posts, I returned home from my Golden State assignment with a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. At first I thought I would just abandon this site, as if I never discovered it, but I feel like it would be a disservice if I did not speak up.
Why so much hate? The prevalence of the n-word is appalling. The threats of physical abuse on presumedly black members of the site is tatamount to the days of lynching in America.
Moderation is not an abstract concept for a modern day website.
I asked my husband, who is half African, to look at the site. He did a search and the n-word was referenced in nearly all threads in May alone. Sickening.
There is a story here, but not one of Croatian soccer. It is one of hate & violence. I can only pray that this does not represent the Croatian people as a whole. Sorry Ante, I know you don’t post the hate, but only you have the power to stop it.
No follow up necessary. I cannot be associated with this site as it would likely be detrimental to my career.
Sincerely,
Hannah
@Kvartuc
Anonymous again with garbage. Someone posts asking for help/info and anonymous posts that article.
@Anonymous – whether you agree or not with Kvartuc’s stance, he helped create this website and I am guessing puts in countless hours. It’s not like he’s become a millionaire off this sit. You’ve done nothing but try and cause trouble.
Kvartuc, I strongly think that as long as these potatoes keep posting garbage this site won’t grow to it’s full potential. The guy throws you under the bus after Hannah reaches out. How do you think any reporter would view this site when reading the nonesense posts from most of the anonymous posters? They would probably laugh at the amount of in fighting for a site that is supposed to represent the diaspora of a country with 4.5 million people. You’d think people that are descnedants of such a small country would show more unity. Unfortunately not.
I’m telling you, it would help the site if you either had a warning go out or just block the guy after x # of countless shit disturbing posts that are created to incite garbage.
TSN or Sportsnet?
@ hannah
I’m probably the foremost expert on things Croatia on this site. I would offer to help but my time is valuable so I’m not sure you’d be able to afford my going rate
@Hannah
Any time you see Anonymous in a thread, do yourself a favour and just quickly scroll by.
^^ Knew that was coming, LOL
@Hannah
I like to help people.
So he is an article Ante Kvartuc wrote that you may find helpful
http://croatiansports.com/?p=30524
Firsties. Just messing with you, thought it would break the ice. I am a first time poster, although I am not Croatian.
Hi Ante- I work for a major sports network in Canada, and have been tasked with the uneviable job of covering Croatia for our World Cup preview. The lack of english speaking sites for this team has been challenging. I want to thank you for being the only english speaking Croatian sports website on god’s green earth.
I will start my research by reading the threads, to get up to speed on the Croatian team, but would like to ask if it is possible to personally speak to yourself or other knowledgeable members regarding the team?
I just finished a piece on Nigeria, and was lucky to find a few forums that were helpful. If anyone knows of other english speaking Croatian forums, I would be much obliged if you passed that info along.
Thank You, let my research begin!
