It is being reported by multiple media outlets in Europe that Ivan Rakitić will be moving to Italian giants Inter Milan in the summer.
Inter Milan have already reached an “understanding” with Barcelona for Ivan Rakitić in the summer but the Spanish club is holding out for a £39 million offer. With current Inter captain Mauro Icardi in turmoil with the club, this could very well set up a veteran Rakitić into captaincy talks; already captaining Sevilla prior to his Barcelona move.
Rakitić is heading into the twilight of his career and his best days at Barcelona are surely behind him. At Inter, he will still have Champions League football at his finger tips and could play alongside Croatian teammates Ivan Perisić and Marcelo Brozović.
Rakitic will play as long as his wife let’s him.
Playing along side Brozovic could add two more years to your career.
I think Brozovic is clocked as running the most in Serie A?
As stated .. Rakitic is a tough and strong skilled baller that has never relied on speed.
So few teams have any intelligence in the middle.
I hope he makes the move.
Rakitic and Brozovic would be a tremendous midfield pairing at club level. They already play so well together with the limited practice of the international break, so just imagine what day-to-day collaboration would do for them!
Mandzu busts his ass defending both atletico goals and unlucky clearances did not go his way.
Did not help that pretty boy turned his back on the 2nd goal for fear of the ball smearing his lip gloss.
Mario is a warrior.. a pity he retired from the national team so soon.
@soul
Yup! Rakitić is better than all three of Juve’s midfielders, he’s arguably one of the best in the world! He’s right behind Luka, De Bruyne and Kante.
@ Juve
Actually humbly suggest you hijack Rakitic move to Inter.
Athletico Madrid bum rushed your midfield today.
Pjanic < Croatian midfielders.
@ Maminjo
Say it ain’t so!!
We need to be Croatian Kings of our Castles.
Unfortunately your diagnosis is spot on.
Actually think Kovačić has the same problem: dude got married and his game went south.
Are nogometaši beta by nature?
Just an inquiry but they all look a bit pederi?
^ ^
Hahaha!!

Rakitic’s wife is probably in his head. He’s pretty beta when it comes to the household. I’m sure she wants him to stay in Spain (even though a move to Milan should be very easy for a chick that is half Italian).
Rakitic is a diaspora Croat with friendly Slavonac heritage.
If Rakitic was a Hercegovac or a Hinterland Dalmatinac, he would put her in her place by snapping at her in front of guests and uproot his family to go play for Zrinjski.
Rakitic is still only 30, and he was always a slowpoke who relied entirely on his elite midfielder skills (meaning that his career will age well).
He’s got at least four excellent years of football left.
This would be a great buy for Inter who (for some reason) decided to have an idiot like Icardi as their captain.
Would be good for us if we had all of Perisic, Rakitic, Brozovic on the same team (and hopefully Vrsaljko can come back if Atletico want to sell him). Really happy that Perisic didn’t make that move to EPL.
I pray Rakitic can transcend his Spanish attachment and his Barca brainwashing.
He is Hrvat bought up in Swiss German canton.
Look at Luis Suarez falling off a cliff.
That kid from Ajax is the real deal and will be given his minutes.
Hate to see him beg Barca for a contract to hang on.
Inter could be an entire chapter in his storied career.
He could finish being captain at Inter and Croatia.
Rakitic was big time at Sevilla and was underrated during our historic run.
He has been role player at Barca which is respected but after a while has been tedious to watch.
I don’t like seeing us being working class footballers on any clubs.
…and Sime Vrsajlko.
