Mario Mandžukić signed a 2-year extension with Juventus earlier in the week, Goal.com reports, which means he will be with the Italian champions until 2021.
At age 32, Mandžukić has tailored his game to aerial dominance in the box while coming off the wing for Juventus, clearing the way for Ronaldo in the center of the field. He had a magical World Cup in Russia scoring three goals for the Vatreni on the way to the Final.
Mandza decided to go out on top and retire from the Croatian national side immediately after the World Cup – and you can’t blame the guy. He will never play in a bigger match.
But the burning question all Croatian fans have is: Would Mandžukić ever pull a Michael Jordan and come out of retirement for Croatia?
He has the goods and could still score goals for Croatia. The only way I see Mandza returning, however, is if Dalić loses a striker right before Euro 2020 begins and he asks Mandžukić to come out for one more final swan song.
Croatia will not need Mandza for qualifying but they sure could have used him against Spain and England in UEFA Nations League.

We’ll beg him to come back – he’ll do it
Agreed maminjo
Rather give some time to a very promising youth then someone who won’t factor in our future
I’d be down with Mario coming up for half Games or super sub
Tho I don’t think he wants that
At 32 he has some life left in him
Our Nations League failures were due to experimenting with players that had no business being on the team (let alone starting)…and despite this, we were 20 minutes away from actually topping the group.
The only players we should be experimenting with, are the U21 star players. We did this by bringing up Brekalo and Vlašić in those last two Nations League games, and it resulted in us almost winning both.
If we’re short on players due to injury, the U21 should be our first stop and not some mediocre stop gap player playing in some bush league.
Mandzo now that you have secured your future for a little while now, can now come back into the fold
