Golden State Warriors center and Australian-born Croatian Andrew Bogut talks 2018 World Cup on the eve of the NBA Finals vs. the Toronto Raptors. The NBA Finals tip off Thursday night in Canada with Bogut looking to capture his second title with the Warriors; the first since 2015.

Bogut has been a roll player this postseason after DeMarcus Cousins went down with an injury nearly one month ago. Bogut is a standup Croatian from Australia and a huge fan of the Vatreni. In the interview, he talks about the World Cup Final in Russia last summer and how he watched it Down Under.

Bogut was CroatianSoccerReport’s first big interview nine nears ago and certainly put the website on the map.

    Hoops ?How dare you ante!SACRILIGOUS!!
These minions only care about footy, you should change the name of this site to Croatian soccer.com
Most of these clowns don’t know the difference between Andrew Bogut and Andrew Wiggins!!

  2. Ivan says:

    Great video.

Thank you Ante for posting. Bogut is a class act. I wish him the best in the finals. I am from Toronto but will be cheering for him and his team.

  3. BZ says:

Andrew is a great dude. Love his basketball IQ. Would have loved to see what he could have done had he stayed healthy.

It is debatable whether the Warriors are worse with Durant on the court, but there is no question they are worse with Cousins on the roster. Too many cooks…

    @ Suba,

    Pravi Dalmatinac. From Zadar.

Me and Modric…only Croatians on the planet under 6-foot.

    kovacic on espnfc

MF Mateo Kovacic, 7 — Provided one of the few moments of quality in a turgid first half with a dangerous burst down the right. Kept the ball well in tight spaces and carried it well in transition, even if he remains utterly incapable of shooting.

  6. CroatiaU14 says:

Rakitić being out hurts us. Rebic is an easy fix if Vlašić and Brekalo can step up.

    …………Kramarić…………
    Perišić….Vlašić….Brekalo
    …Modrić……Brozović…
    Vida…Lovren…Benković…Jedvaj/Barišić
    …………Livaković…………

That’s how we should line up now

  7. CroatiaU14 says:

As bad as I feel for Bale, it’s not a bad thing for us that he hasn’t played for Madrid in a while. Like Ante said, he’ll probably be a little rusty.

  8. Canuckcro says:

They like half Serb Luka because of his football, nothing more.

  10. the truth says:

Djokovic dad giving interview about why novak sports Croatian sports. He says it’s because he always taught him that we are one people and one country. He said one Yugoslavia was well known and powerful and now the politicians have broken it into smaller states that no one recognizes or cares about. The only way to get back there is to reunite them

  11. Canuckcro says:

  12. Cro Jersey Guy says:

Would be good to see the Toronto Raptors win this NBA Finals Series. People in America are getting sick of the Golden State Warriors according to online internet polls. This Series reminds me a bit of when the Spurs defeated the Miami Heat. Would be funny to see a Drake side line shimmy on Steph Curry.
