Eden Hazard was unveiled today as Real Madrid’s newest superstar. During his first press conference in front of the Bernabeu faithful, Hazard was asked which number he will wear.

“I asked Modrić if he could lend me the #10 shirt. And he said “No”, Goal.com reports.

Life Rule #1,991

A non-Ballon d’Or winner cannot ask a Ballon d’Or winner for their number upon arrival at his new club.

Good on you Luka Modrić!

    from marca

    “joke” probably an important word:

“I’ve been lucky enough to speak to Modric through [Mateo] Kovacic. I asked him if he would let me have his number 10 as a joke and he said no,” he said.

  2. Dannyj says:

Elvis so basically just apply for the cities u want to go to and hopefully cro qualifies and plays there?
I’m planning to go next year to euro for sure

I have never been to a tourney so i guess u get whatever tickets u get and try to swap with someone else for what u need?

  3. Elvis says:

@Dannyj it looks that way but who the hell wants to go to Romania? With Croatia’s WC performance I am hoping that puts them in a Western city . Would love Dublin with the Irish.

  4. Elvis says:

it says you have to attend the match yourself?

You can apply for tickets from 12 June 14:00 CEST until 12 July 14:00 2019 CEST. You can apply for a maximum of 4 tickets of the same price category and for 1 match per day.

If you are allocated tickets, you will need to attend the match yourself. If you wish to change your personal details, it is only possible until Friday 12 July 2019, 14:00 CEST. If demand is higher than the number of available tickets, we will allocate tickets by random draw.

Well all you Olmo c0ckriders can now calm down because Olmo said he will only play for Spain

  6. Razbijač says:

It’s been reported that Pasalic will be joining Atalanta on a permanent move.

Also, it looks like CSKA is close to finalizing a permanent move for Vlasic.

Krovrinovic has been loaned out to Victoria Guimaras.

My hope is that all our Vatreni find a suitable Club this summer, which will enable them to play regularly.

  7. Maminjo says:

Shame that two of our better youngsters in Pjaca and Krovinović have career ending knee injuries.

  8. Razbijač says:

I still have hope for Krovrinovic, he only tore the ACL in one of his knees. And still has the potential to bounce back.

Pjaca on the other hand, suffered a Double Whammy tearing ACLs in both knees. And for him, explosiveness is key for a winger.

  9. Anonymous says:

@razbijac. Pjaca is done period, as per Krovinovic he could be done too. Hope I’m wrong but I don’t think so. We will never see them on the NT.

  10. Jamon Iberico says:

Eden who? Who the fuck does he think he is. I’m sure a few words were left out in Kovacic’s message to him from Modric.

Zvonomir Boban was just hired at Inter.

  11. Suba says:

Injuries or no Pjaca was never going to make at least from what I had seen

Every time he came on for the repka I felt his touch and control was lacking

Is there a rumour going around that Dalic rather not have Rebic in his first ideal and even mentioned that Rakitic could be done too

  12. Maminjo says:

Boban looking to snag Nikola Moro from Dinamo.

Kramaric is another name linked to AC Milan.

Pretty much now that Boban is at AC Milan, you’re just going to hear every Croat name going that way lol.

  13. Suba says:

The establishment at ac just love zvone

Understandable considering the absolute class of the man

What’s next president of hns that would unite us for sure

  14. Cro Jersey Guy says:

Zvonimir Boban is arrogant met him in person he wouldn’t shake hands with fellow Hrvati.

  15. Maminjo says:

    @Cro Jersey Guy

Well, were you being a typical American fan trying to get an autograph and take a photo with him?

I’ve seen Boban and a lot of players when I was in Cro, but I never once bothered to come up to them to speak with them because it’s not really a Croatian thing to do that with celebrities like it is here in the US.

Nobody goes up to them, to get them to sign their names on a piece of paper (it is kinda stupid to be honest).

So, he was probably offput by a 47 year-old grown man running up to him trying to get him to sign a napkin.
    ;)

  16. Cro Jersey Guy says:

It was a meet and greet him at the local Croatian Centre. I’m not 47 by the way and I never asked him for an autograph. Many of the sports players in many sports are full of themselves but they don’t realise if it wasnt for the fans they wouldnt even be playing. Also im not American.

  17. Maminjo says:

“but they don’t realise if it wasnt for the fans they wouldnt even be playing”

Spoken like a true fan, lol.

I’m just messing around with you. But you have to realize that athletes and celebrities are just regular people, with flaws like any other.

Fans tend to put these guys on pedestals, then are disappointed when meeting them.

I’ve seen Boban, but I’ve never spoken to him. What for?
The guy is from Imotski, lol. He’s probably has the personality of a seljak with a big ego. Kovač and Dalić are exactly the same too.

Nice guys when you catch them on a good day, but nauseating on a bad day.
