Croatia won a thrilling double overtime Euro semifinal against Norway Friday night in Stockholm to set up a rematch with Spain Sunday in the gold medal match!

I know this website doesn’t have a thick handball fanbase, but let me tell you, it’s so much fun to watch! Especially when Croatia is playing well.

The crowd didn’t stop chanting from the opening whistle and the atmosphere was incredible. Croatia goalie  Marin Sego made some incredible saves and hero Domagoj Duvnjak hit a penalty shot with no time left on the clock to force a second overtime period.

Croatia will play Spain in the Gold Medal match Sunday at 10:30AM (ET). The two sides played to a 22-22 draw in the final match of the group round.

You left out Cilic too although he is losing atm, had a real chance to win that first set but scuffed it. I think – as i said in the other thread – he will lose but u never know. Be nice if we had 3 wins from 3 today.

    Just broke in the 2nd.

I feel Cilic and Coric can’t be taken seriously until they get to the 4th Round of the Grand Slams. That’s where they should be every tournament.

If Cilic doesn’t have a good first half of the year, that may be it for him. He’s currently ranked 39th and will keep getting shit draws until he grabs some points.

Now into the 5th. He’s gonna lose in a match he really should’ve won. Exact same thing happened last year. I don’t agree he can’t be taken seriously, the way he played end of set 2, 3 and start of set 4 was incredible. Shows he still has it. But yeah can’t keep it up.

As for Coric, nfi what’s going on there, i saw the draw and he was playing Querrey and i knew he’d lose easily and that’s what happened. Idk what his prob is but he can’t even play atm, he’s pathetic. Such a shame.

Anyway hopefully Cilic wins by some miracle in the 5th but i dont think so, i think we’re gonna be relying on Donna here, imagine that lol.

Sooo happy to eat my words, Cilic did it, after close loss sets he came back stronger, really well done by him, a terrific performance. So it’s 1 out of 3, 2 more to go eh?

    :)

And always us vs Spain, seems to be the norm!

    He looked great tonight!

By seriously, I mean I don’t take the tournaments seriously until the players go deep. Look at Coric. What am I supposed to post on him? Not even worth my troubles…
