Ante Rebić has been unstoppable for AC Milan in 2020.
After being a ghost for the Italian club in the second half of 2019 – not all completely his fault – Rebić has been playing at 8,000 RPMs the past six weeks and is single-handedly carrying AC Milan on his back.
This past Thursday, Rebić scored a perfectly placed volley from inside the box to beat goalie Gianluigi Buffon and give AC Milan the lead against Juventus in the first leg of the Copa Italia semifinals. Unfortunately, Juve were given an undeserved VAR penalty, which Cristiano Ronaldo converted to force a 1-1 draw in injury time. The return leg will be played in Torino on March 4th.
Rebić Goal vs. Juventus
Rebić kept the goal train going Monday night in AC Milan’s 1-0 victory over Torino in Serie A action. Rebić scored the lone goal of the match in the 25th minute as he one-timed a pass in the middle of the box to the lower-left corner of the goal. It was supposed to be Zlatan who saved AC Milan in 2020. Instead, it’s Ante Rebić. With the win, Milan jump Napoli in the Serie A table and now only sit four points behind a Europa League berth after being stuck in the bottom half of the table at times this season.
Rebić has now scored in three straight matches for AC Milan and has six goals in the last seven games. Fire.
Rebić Winner vs. Torino
HOW BIG FAVORITES ARE ENGLAND GOING TO BE AGAINST US YA THINK?
Put a couple of players with Croatian blood together and magic is bound to happen!
@Pog-precisely, this Liverpool team is being compared with the greatest teams of all time. They are great, but today they looked more like Biscan’s Liverpool, which was a great team but certainly not a team that is a contender for the greatest of all-time.
I think Liverpool moves on, but am happy Atletico put themselves in a great position.
Actually hoping Trippier gets healthy so Vrsaljko doesn’t get too many chances to re-injure his knee before the Euros. Saw enough from Vrsaljko today to feel comfortable that he is ready (barring injury.)
They’ll relish the challenge of knocking out the champs. If any team can knuckle down and get a result at Anfield it would be them. Having Costa back would be huge. Just his fighting spirit alone.
Diego Costa will be back at Anfield.
Biscan’s Liverpool won it all in Istanbul.
@truth- Agree
Trust me, Rebic will not forget he was booed for no reason early in the season.
Ibra has a god-complex, and that doesn’t end well on the backside of a career.
Go get your $ Rebic!
Klopp is always whining about something. Never ends.
A forwards job is to put the ball into the net first and foremost!
Who gives a rats ass if he’s pressing all game long but hasn’t potted one in months.
Look at all the great forwards in time …not one would expend his energy on “pressing!”
Pardon my football ignorance.
Not sure you can trust Milan and this manager if your rebic. Team was trash and then manager stumbles into rebic. Most managers are idiots. Because they played soccer they are given this position And mostly operate on dumb dogma rather than an analytics based approach. This coach is a career 37 percent win percentage… in pretty sure he’d fall into this camp
I am so happy Rebic is playing well. But he gets me nervous sometime. If Rebić and Krama have good Euros. It’ll be good. But kramaric doesn’t like passing the ball too much.
Vrsaljko puts in a full 90 mins against the best team in Europe?
Man .. what is better? Rebić in the form of his life OR Vrsaljko physical comeback in time for June?
I pray that “guru” trainer at Athletico allows Šime to progress gradually.
No Loven in the squad? LFC has to go down for dishonoring the archetypal form of the Nogometaš.
Have to say I am more blown away that Vrsaljko was on the field for 90+ Mins in a CL knock out round verse Liverpool then Rebić bum rushing 2020.
Having our two starting full backs for Euro 2020 is a big time boost.
Liverpool was being compared to the ’11 Barcelona team. And Sime just shutdown their left flank all day. He made the almighty Liverpool look like Biscan’s Liverpool.
Gonna be tough away at Liverpool, especially since Atletico’s forwards suck.
Šime playing dirty ?

Sime in the starting 11 today
To get that menacing Mandzo Rebić press for just one more tourney… so much pressure
@BZ
I agree with that statement but lets face it most people on this site are football ignorant and dont know that.
Even when Rebic is “cold”, his work rate benefits his teammates immensely.
No injuries please!
This article just jinxed him!He won’t score for a month now!
Ante, Ante Svi smo za te!!!
Gotovina and Rebić- best 2 Ante’s out there
I think this just speaks to the type of player that Rebic is, not taking anything away from him but I feel like he is a Hot or Cold player aka streaky. I think when he is cold or in a plateau it takes him a while to come out of it but when he is confident and on fire he scores a bunch.
