Ivan Perišić is currently on loan from Inter Milan and probably did the least amount of (minimal) work to be part of a “double winning” Bayern Munich side this season. And what I mean by “minimal” is that Perišić was never cemented into Bayern’s starting XI this season but always found himself on the scoresheet with a goal or assist; whether Bayern needed it or not. Bayern Munich wrapped up the German Double Saturday by defeating Bayer Leverkusen 4-2 in the DFB Pokal Final. The Bavarian giants easily cruised to the Bundesliga title four weeks ago and will attempt the European ‘treble’ in August when Champions League resumes. Bayern has been perfect since the restart and has not dropped points since February 9th, when they drew 0-0 against RB Leipzig. Their last loss was December 7th.
In the DFB Pokal Final, Perišić came off the bench in the 65th minute and supplied a cheeky “nutmeg” 89′ assist to Robert Lewandowski to put the game away at 4-1. Perišić could have easily gone for goal but found his Polish buddy for the chip goal instead. Now we won’t see Perišić for another month until CL resumes.

Rebić Scores Again!
Ante Rebić is EN FUEGO! The man scored again for AC Milan on Saturday in a 3-0 victory over 2nd place Lazio. Rebić came on at halftime for Zlatan with the game already at 2-0 and capped off the match with an insurance goal in the 59′ as he slid the ball inside the far post. The win keeps AC Milan two points shy of a Europa League berth and basically hands Juventus another Serie A title as they now have a 7-point lead on Lazio with eight matches remaining.
Luka Modrić played the full 90 minutes against Athletic Bilbao in a 1-0 victory Sunday but controversy consumed this match and shook the La Liga title race. Marcelo was clipped in the box in the 2nd half with the game still scoreless. No call was made by the referee initially. After a long VAR review, the penalty was given to Real Madrid and Sergio Ramos would convert. It’s the second straight game Real Madrid have received a late penalty call. They have now won three straight games with a 1-0 result. Los Blancos keep their 4-point lead on Barcelona with only four matches remaining in the La Liga season. Should it have been called a penalty after the initial no-call?
The VAR Call Heard Around Spain (2:01)
Ivan Rakitić came on in the 60′ for Luis Suarez in a 4-1 Barcelona win over Villareal. Barca scored three goals in the 1st half to keep pace with rivals Real Madrid. Nikola Vlašić scored his third goal in two games as CSKA Moscow defeated FK Akhmat 4-0. With the win, CSKA are now only two points behind a Champions League qualifying berth with four matches remaining.
Sarri, Ronaldo, Higuain and Juve’s management can go eat shit! Have fun with your one league trophy. It’s all you will have in a while.
What if Mandzukic joins Barca? They have no aerial power. He could rain down goals from above where shorty pants Messi, Griezmann, Suarez or Fati can’t do anything.
Bunch of cheap Jews won’t help the poor children
“Shit pass.”
hahahahaha. anonymous clown.
Modric played a game that’s about it.
King of the match was Marcelo, if he didn’t earn a penalty Real Madrid don’t win that game.
Just because Modric is small and ugly he shouldn’t get extra points for simply playing a game.
Modric could’ve had an assist if his pass to Kroos in the box was a little better, but Kroos had to reach for it and it was an opportunity lost. Shit pass by Modric.
“In the year 2020 at the age of 34 with probably one year left in his career with Real, Modric is still among the best in the league.
On a hot day with an early kickoff at San Mames against one of the most physical sides in Europe, Modric put on one of his best performances of the season. Without Modric turning up the heat to match the temperatures in Bilbao, Real Madrid wouldn’t have won this game. Plain and simple. He and Eder Militao were the men of the match.
According to WhoScored.com, Modric won four dribbles and three fouls, completed 90 percent of his passes, and attempted a total of 62 passes. He never stopped running throughout the 90 minutes, providing Real Madrid with the engine they needed in midfield alongside Casemiro. The two outworked Bilbao’s defense-minded midfield.
Modric hasn’t been one of the biggest stars for Real Madrid this season, but he’s always stepped it up in big games and has been an indispensable part of the team due to his motor and well-rounded play.
Bring Mandzukic back into the fold with the repka
His presence would be needed even elsewhere on the park
He is born fighter he could play anywhere
Mandzukic at inter or Lazio and to knock off Juve would be a dream. I hope he avoids the Premier League.
“BLM” are slaves of George Soros, they serve him by doing his bidding.
George Floyd was a protestant, so people of faith should be asking themselves what is George Floyd’s ultimate end? You could ask the KKK who are protestant themselves lol!
America sucks.
White people created the modern world.
Sorry if that offends but it’s true
Lmfao
Conte would love to have BEAST MANdzukic in a side that wants to compete at the highest level.
Yea, a Lukaku & Mandžo pairing at Inter would be pretty interesting.
They would be have such pace and power up top, both on the offensive and defensive end.
Uh oh! I did a racism!
@ Maminjo
Most of these clubs couldn’t score to save their Mama.
Mandžukić finishes everything and adds to set pieces both offensively and defensively.
Not to mention that he is a big game hunter.
At a young 33 he will not lose any power and skill.
His game was never based on explosive speed.
He is naturally slinky athletic and will not get any shorter.
He can play 3-4 more years at top level.
On a free he will he added value to any club.
Inter should snap him up.
And then he can bum rush Juve for the Scuddetto.
Mandžukić still has a lot to offer teams in Serie, EPL or the Bundesliga.
It would be funny to see a Juventus rival pick him up.
Not sure if going to Dinamo is the best option with Petković still being there.
Would prefer not to mess with the form of a current National Team player, just to give Mandžo a spot.
Marko Rog is playing very well for Cagliari right now. He is doing everything for them. Unfortunately, his teammates are lazy defenders and unimaginative on offense. But Rog is still an asset.
Luka Modric – 7.5/10
Luka Modric was massive in giving Real Madrid control of the game and maintaining possession. He grew into the game and orchestrated the majority of the Royal White’s attacking plays.
It is always a delight to watch the Croatian on the ball when he is on his game. Towards the end of the game, Real Madrid needed to manage the game and protect their one-goal lead. Modric slowing the pace down and nut-megging an incoming Yuri to maintain possession was a moment to remember from the match.
He completed 91 percent of his passes, with five successful long balls and one key pass in the match.
Luka Modrić — 8: Luka aged like wine in this game, and come the end it was just getting a bit silly. His press resistance including nutmegs and flicks only served to make the Bilbao players more angry – to the point where it kicked off towards the end when one player did not like being humiliated at all. They’ll know not to mark Luka, next time…
Mandžukić returns ..
Vrati se ljubavi moja ..
The beast is hungry ..
Serie A hunting begins next season.
Mario Pasalic starting again at an attacking midfield position, and he adds size and creativity in that final third for atalanta! That would be an awesome wrinkle for the repka to get a bit more depth at attacking mid! Hope they keep playing him there
Mandzukic to Dinamo would make me happiest.
ESPNFC:
MF Luka Modric, 8 – Works so hard, despite starting five games in three weeks at the age of 34. Zidane might like to rest Modric more often, but the midfielder is simply too important.
I rarely come here anymore because of people like The Truth. This brainwashed idiot is what’s wrong with the world. A good start would be IP banning the fool. BTW, best thing I did was moving back to Croatia 4 years ago.
Mandzukic has ended his contract in Qatar by mutual consent, hopefully he’s going back to Europe. I’d assume that he is if he chose to end the contract himself.
3 words for the poor blacks. Get a job!
Ante,
You got to put the Rebic goal as a headline up top. Otherwise casual viewers will continue to jump off his bandwagon as soon as his next coach benches him for the simple crime of “beasting while Croat.”
Rebić with 9 goals in 11 games.
Also, I didn’t realize that Vlašić has 10 goals so far this season as well. Pretty good for a midfielder.
Kramarić also has 12 in 19 games this year too.
Lots of players are in solid scoring form for us this year.
Does anyone know of a good stream or subscription service for la Liga games? Ever since Dazn dropped them , I am struggling to find Real games live. Bein sports seems to be the only provider in Canada, but there pretty expensive.
Za Dom Spremni !
Everyone is standing together and calling it out for trying to stir it up shit… Hah
For someone who calls themselves the truth
You are completely so far from it
You must be clearly trying to cause problems
Rebic (8): The Croatian looked full of energy when he came on during the interval and added yet another goal to his tally. He helped the team a lot with the pressing, constantly chasing down the opponents as opposed to Ibrahimovic
Rebić looks the goods.
His finishing is fine tuned and his touch ever improving.
@ The “truth”
May all Souls be liberated.
Not sure when Croatia was a Colonial power ?
Quite the opposite for over a millennium.
In fact, Croatia is still in the process of integrating centuries of internalized stereotype threats.
Actually one could argue that Croatia has been at the effect of treachery throughout its participation at major football tournaments.
Ironic how phantom fouls and creative handball penalties seem to magically appear against Croatia, or a swallowed whistle against Portugal.
@ Maminjo
You wrote a great post about folks authentically relating to each other and celebrating their diversity.
Rebić has power and pace and it has taken him years to develop the tactical awareness and fine tune technique to round out his game and lead Milan into Europe.
Thanks for the support tone. I completely agree.. stfu

I found it really distasteful for people to tell me to post the “cancel Slaven” stuff on a different site…that this site is meant for sports
well guess what…sports is the fight against racism now
the players take knees together at the start of games
the players wear black lives matters shirts
me talking about this, is me talking about sports. and the role our hns not only should, but MUST have in fighting this fight
bilic is a guy who has consistently gained from his white privelage and for him to make comments like that are inappropriate
ways in which bilic has gained from white privelage
-grew up in a european country which benefited from white exploitation of colonial people for centuries
-when being recruited for foreign teams, benefited by being white and the perceived superiority that that brings… ie… he must be a smarter player
-being selected as a coach because he is white so he must be intelligent
-failing as a coach and repeatedly getting rehired…something a black person would never get the opportunity for…one strike and your out as a black coach…statitistically proven
-being hired as a commentator despite showing little coaching ability
Bilic is a Croatian patriot and legend who happens to be an incredible human being who serves as an inspiration to many Croatian’s as player but more importantly as a person. The only thing that should be canceled is the idiotic cancel culture and those who support it.
Can you post my comment Ed.
Bilic comments were not racist in any way. On the contrary
