I've wondered that since I started posting here back in 2009...why? Why are there so many jugos on this site? The general consensus is that this site is great for its content so I'll repeat the question that is asked of me countless times (which I still do not have the answer for):

Why are there so many jugoslavs on CroatianSports.com?

What do you base that off of? And who are the countless people asking you this question?

I base it off of the comments I've personally read. The countless people asking me are all over the North American diaspora (SJ, LA, Chi, NY, Toronto).

No, but what makes you think the site is mainly comprised of such people? Trying to figure out your logic.

It's like... whoever said anything about loving Tito, Jugosalvija, etc.? I read the forum and boards on a daily basis and I don't think anyone has made the call for us to reform Jugoslavija or wished Tito was back in control?

Really dude? Your Ustasa topic and anti-Ustasa rants make you, and others like you, sound very jugo. It's very sad.

Dude, do you know how backwards you sound? Being anti-ustasa automatically equates me to being a jugo lover? LOL

On a personal level, the ustasa and partisan regime fucked over my family. So I have love for neither. Both were experiments that went horribly wrong. Just because a blood thristy, Facist regime was branded "Nezavisna Drzava Hrvatska", everyone forgets the wrongs and just focuses on the fact that it was an "independent" Croatia. You sound like a typical diaspora Hrvat, where if you don't fit into the typical hrvat profile (which apparently means praising a facist regime), you're either a jugo lover or just not Croatian. All you right wing diaspora folk make me laugh... You guys apparently have the ideal croatian profile and the 'qualifications' for being a modern hrvat, meanwhile some of you have hardly ever visited Croatia or just go for a few weeks every year or so, which is quite laughable...

Ante B: Do you think fascism is the answer?

Personally I think all forms of government become corrupt at some point in time. It is due to the fact that man will abuse the system, and the longer it stays around the more laws can be passed to place limitations on its people.

The western form of politics/govt is coming to Croatia and I do not see it as a step forward towards progress. The Unionization is not working. The economy is collapsing based off of capitalistic principles. This does not mean I am for a communist government, in fact a new form of government is required.

All ustasa has is independence for croatia. Are the means towards independence thrown out the window?

I know most people will say that being a true croatian requires you to be of Catholic faith, know the croatian language, and have croatian blood. Is siding with genocide a Catholic trait? Also did not Hitler consider the slavic bloodline (Russians, Croatians, Serbs, etc.) as inferior, who were to be turned into slaves? The etymology of the word slave is traced back to slav.

So believing in an ideology that is based off Nazi principle, is the same as a self hating jew (which Hitler was) and goes against its own principles. If Croatians had a brain and didn't go along with the hive mentality they would not consider themselves Ustasa because it would be like an African considering himself a part of the KKK.

Please forgive my ignorance on the subject but this is what I have pieced together from what I've read from multiple sources. They may be wrong but please point me to articles that refute my statements. Danke Schoen

Armada, with you I'm just calling a spade a spade. The one mistake you made was throwing us all together in one pot. True, I am a typical diaspora Hrvat (hvala Bogu my parents instilled in me a sense of pride) but unlike you I spent time there, went to games, know the language and what life is like other there. You might be able to play that game with a lot of people but not me. My family had bad experiences with the partizani and UDBa so I believe it's warranted. My advice to tou: stop being self hating.

Who did I even throw together in one pot? What the hell are you talking about?

Newsflash, I'm a typical diaspora Hrvat too and while my parents instilled a sense of pride in me; where I come from, our customs and traditions, they NEVER told me follow a particular movement or regime. So in alot of ways, it does sound like we're the same. I've spent time there (and not just in my region), I have a solid idea of what life is like there and I've been to nogomet games there. The only thing is I'm not that great speaking the language. So according to your standards mentioned, aside from language, I fit requirements to be a "Hrvat"? No? Big difference is this; apparently your family taught you to love a regime that killed thousands of people, was a cowardly puppet state (so much for that independent thing you guys wanna believe...) and honestly, was ruining Croatia more than anything else. It could of all of been saved maybe if Lorkovic and Vokic could of actually overthrew Pavelic, swing Croatia over to the Allied front and then maybe we would of had an independent Hrvatska since WW2, but you're almighty Poglavnik got wind of it and crushed the plan, leaving Croatia a backwards, Fascist state, ripe for the picking by Jugoslavija. So if you want to look at it through that lens, if Pavelic and his band of idiots stepped out of the way and let Croatia become a Allied state, we would would of truly been independent since the 1940's and would of never had to endure Jugoslavija, the wars, etc.

But I bet your baba and deda or mommy and daddy never told you that side of the story. All they know about is the immense greatness of the NDH and how it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. So you can continue with claims of people being "self hating", which makes zero sense. Here is some better terminology to use to describe myself and you.

Ante B. = Backwards
ARMADA = Modern

Honestly, you sound like a southerner from the USA. If you talk to someone from down south, they think they're true 'Americans' and that they're way of life is truly American. They still wanna fly the Confederate flag (just like 'true' Croats flying the Ustasha flag...), they hold the Confederate States of America near and dear to their heart (just like modern Croats hold fond memories of the NDH). See my point? So when you get on your soap box and talk about the great ustasa regime and how not being on board with it makes me "a self hating" non-Hrvat, I just picture you being some backwards, hillybilly, idiot, who doesn't have a mind of his own and isn't that educated. Like I told someone before - pick up a book, brate; read a website, something, cause apparently mommy and daddy and baba and deda didn't do their jobs in telling you this.
